President Donald Trump re-launched the White House COVID briefings this week — briefings that CNN opted to show in bits after famously deciding this spring to cut away from the president's COVID updates, calling them "propaganda" at one time. For many weeks, Vice President Mike Pence, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx, and other members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force would give nearly daily briefings on current research, policies, and recommendations on the pandemic. Bernell Trammell was shot dead in broad daylight on Thursday in Milwaukee. Trammell's death has sparked questions if his "senseless" murder was politically motivated since he was an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump. The 60-year-old black man was killed in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood on Thursday afternoon. Around 12:30 p.m., Trammell was shot in front of his shop. Patricia Holland, who lives near the crime scene, said she heard multiple gunshots near Trammell's business, Expressions Journal Publications. Phil Murphy's administration ordered the Bellmawr gym closed after co-owners Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti refused on May 18 to shutter their business in the wake of the governor's coronavirus shutdown mandate. Three people were shot during a protest in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday. The demonstrators were accidentally shot by a member of their own militia group. Shortly before 1 p.m., there was a shooting near Baxter Square Park in Louisville. Reportedly , the firearm of a protester accidentally discharged, and three individuals were injured. All three victims were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Louisville Metro Police Chief Robert Schroeder.
