We’ve all heard of the “silent majority.” The term was mentioned by President Nixon in 1969, who talked about middle Americans who weren’t protesting the Viet Nam war or joining the counter culture – which was all the media of the day was covering. The silent majority didn’t speak up much – they respected traditional American values with a good-natured approach to political issues.
