Pelosi Warns U.S. Athletes Not to ‘Speak Out’ Against Chinese Communists Or They Risk Angering Them

Nancy Pelosi told U.S. athletes attending the Olympics not to speak out against the Chinese government.

There is genocide as well as disturbing human rights abuses occurring in the country.

However, Pelosi said, “I would say to our athletes — you are there to compete Do not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless.” Watch the clip below:

“When the Winter Olympic Games begin tomorrow in Beijing, the Chinese once again will attempt to distract the world from a decades-long campaign of abuse and repression,” Pelosi said. “But the United States and the international community know the truth.

“While we fully support and will root for our athletes, we cannot and will not be silent on human rights in China,” Pelosi said.

“Over the next two weeks, it is our urgent moral duty to shine a bright light on the many human rights violations being perpetrated by the host nation.”

“Now the IOC, aided by corporate sponsors, once again turns a blind eye with the 2022 Winter Olympics just to bolster their bottom line,” Pelosi said.

“If we do not speak out against human rights violations in China, because of commercial interests, we lose all moral authority to speak out against human rights violations anywhere,” she added.

“I know there is a temptation on the part of some to speak out while they are there; I respect that. But, I also worry about what the Chinese government might do to their reputations, to their families,” she added.

Pelosi recently learned that an FBI probe is investigating her son, Paul Pelosi Jr., as being linked to at least five business entities under investigation for alleged fraud, according to the NY Post.

He is accused of being connected to the bribery of a San Francisco official in a corrupt real-estate venture that involved his ex-girlfriend.

Pelosi Jr. was allegedly involved in the plot to cancel permit violations on a property owned by his ex-girlfriend. The property is referred to as “The Pit.”

Just last week, Nancy Pelosi confirmed that she is running for re-election in Congress despite a political career that has already spanned over 30 years. Many people suspected that she would retire.
