(WATCH) Man implants chip from his bank in his hand so that he doesn’t have to carry a wallet

Viewers have branded a man ‘idiotic’ for having the chip from his bank card surgically implanted in his hand so that he doesn’t have to carry a wallet. This Morning today covered the story of a father being the first-ever Brit to get implanted with his bankcard details, allowing him pay with just his hand. Arnie Szoke, 40, paid £350 to have the new technology inserted into his hand in Germany.

Holly Willoughby explained that the NHS healthcare assistant, from West London, had a safety-pin-sized chip placed into his hand by surgeons.
